Who Are We?

We are Steph & Jay, other known as Mountain 81 & Cryptic Caving, (The Big Underground Clean-Up UK) we’re just passionate cavers and explorers who enjoy caring for underground locations.

We like to take action to clean up locations and care for our favourite locations for future generations.

We are environmental activists (Not the road-blocking protesting kind) the kind that instead of moaning about something we take action ourselves to clean up locations.

We get companies to sponsor cleaning equipment, and Licensed companies for rubbish collection for our direct Clean-Ups, which we do ourselves,

When a location is reported to us to be in disarray with litter or graffiti, if it’s a very big job, we will use UK-Caving & Buddle-Pit, to arrange team clean-ups, so people can join our efforts.

We intend to incentivise conservation from as many cavers and clubs as possible through cash prizes, Caving Gear & Awards.
